Description
Mojave Grey Metal Gazebo Aluminium Frame Shuttered Roof 350cm x 360cm.
5 Year Guarantee on the Gazebo Frame and a 2 Year Guarantee on the Side Screens.
Finally… a high quality, contemporary Gazebo that you can leave up all year round.
The Mojave Metal Gazebo beats the competition hands down when it comes to quality, durability, practicality and good looks. Unlike many cheaper gazebos on the market, the Mojave Gazebo is tough, well made and designed to cope with sun, rain, snow and wind. Quite simply, this is a gazebo which can stay up throughout the year, meaning you can extend your living space and enjoy the outdoors for longer.
The Mojave Grey Metal Gazebo is perfect for outdoor dining, or for creating an outdoor lounge area, but is also an excellent source of summer shade for your car or vehicle, and can offer you all the privacy you need for your outdoor hot tub or jacuzzi.
What makes this gazebo so special?
The Mojave Grey Metal Gazebo features a toughened aluminium frame which has been powder-coated for protection in a slick, contemporary silver grey colour.
The roof is shuttered, which means you can open and close the shutters quickly and easily thanks to easy-wind mechanisms located on the crossbeams between the panels of shutters. So when you want the sun’s rays or the air to pass through more easily, simply hook the winding pole into the metal loops provided and turn the winding handle to open the shutters.
When closed, the shuttered roof is load resistant, which means that if there is a heavy leaf fall, or even if it it snows, your gazebo won’t collapse beneath the weight.
Furthermore, the roof is fully waterproof and has been designed so that any rain water falling onto the roof is carried away along special drainage channels, off the shutters and then down further drainage channels set on the inside of the legs. The water then simply runs off onto the surrounding ground.
Please note: There is one easy wind mechanism for every panel of shutters, and this is located on the cross beams that runs across the roof and is not located in the corners of the gazebo by the leg posts, as suggested by some of the photos. These close up photos are there to show how the hook and wind mechanism works rather than for position.
And that’s not all!
The Mojave Metal Gazebo is anchored to the ground when erected and is strong and sturdy enough to withstand strong winds. So you won’t spend your days worrying whether or not your gazebo will blow away.
That’s why this gazebo is ideal for Commercial as well as Domestic use.
Optional Side Screens
If you would like further protection or privacy, you can opt to buy Side Screens for your Mojave Metal Gazebo, which come in cassette form. All you need to do is attach each cassette then simply pull the shutters down to the required length.
The Side Screens are slightly transparent, which means you can enjoy privacy and shelter without feeling claustrophobic. And once again, they are unbeatable on quality.
The screens are made from high quality Textilene which is a PVC coated, woven polyester stitched with a non-stretch yarn. The fabric is flame retardant, heat sealable and mildew resistant and has been tested to prove that it is stable under very hot and very cold weather conditions.
So your Mojave Grey Metal Gazebo and set of Side Screens will withstand regular wear and tear over years of exposure outside in the elements.
The standard Side Screen Set comes with 3 screens, leaving one of the long sides of your gazebo open. However you can purchase an additional screen should you wish to fully enclose your space.
Erecting your Gazebo
The gazebo comes with full Assembly Instructions and can be erected on most surfaces but ideally your surface does need to be level. So try to even out the surface before building.
We always recommend anchoring the gazebo to the ground, so make sure you have something substantial enough to anchor into before you start your build. We would recommend erecting the gazebo on decking or on concrete or patio slabs that are cemented down. So if you want to site the pergola on grass or astroturf, we would recommend digging a footing and laying a concrete pad where each foot of the pergola will sit, then you can anchor into that rather than just soil, which will not hold the anchor bolts in strong winds. Please be aware that your warranty will not cover you for damage caused to a pergola that has not been adequately secured to the ground.
If you would rather not assemble your Mojave Metal Gazebo yourself, then Rattan And Teak offers an expert Gazebo Construction Service. To take advantage of this service, just add this option to your basket before checkout.

What is the difference between a Mojave Gazebo and a Namib Pergola?
Our Mojave Gazebos are our top of the range, best-selling gazebos. They are available in some different sizes to the Namib Pergolas, including the extra large 3.5m x 7.2 size, which creates an impressive outdoor space.
Unlike the Namib pergolas, which are open sided, the Mojaves have the option of adding side screens or, on the 3.5m ends, fixed fence panels, which provide added privacy and shelter.
The roof construction is different too. The Namib Pergolas have a single set of roof vents, which run the full 3m width of the pergola, compared to the separate panels of roof shutters on the Mojaves (two panels on our smaller sizes, and four panels on the 3.5m x 5.4m and 3.5m x 7.2m sizes). So with the Mojave Gazebos you have much more control. If you only want shade or shelter on one half of the roof, then you can keep the other side closed, and vice versa.
The shutters on the Mojave Gazbeos run parallel with the longest side of the gazebo too, which for most customers, means that they can be angled more effectively to follow the sun as it rises and sets.
Of the two ranges, the Mojave gazebos are the slightly more heavy weight option, with thicker aluminium and thicker leg posts. However, the Namib pergolas have a higher frame (250cm full height with 237cm clearance) so may give you that bit of extra height if your gazebo is being built over a hot tub or close to a door or opening window.
If you still prefer the Mojave and need more clearance, then there are options available to you, including leg extension sections. So if height and/or clearance is an issue, do call Customer Services on 01789509544 and we can give you some ground preparation advice.
Finally, the assembly of a Mojave Gazebo is quicker to complete than a Namib pergola, so if you are self-assembling, that might appeal. Either way, neither the Mojave nor the Namib gazebos are over-complicated to build. Just allow yourself plenty of time, make sure you have a second hands ready to help when needed, and you will be fine.

The roof has proved waterproof and protected the furniture. But we are having to wait for sun to enjoy shading. Product seems good and just what we wanted. But time will tell and hopefully we can add the fifth star.

Thank you so much for sending us the photo of the Mojave gazebo. It looks fabulous and well worth the hours Jon and Jack spent in the rain, working on the assembly. The weather was certainly a good test for the waterproof shuttered roof and we do hope that once the sun comes out, and you can enjoy the benefits of the shade too, we can earn that 5th star. Here’s to a much improved summer!
