Description
Kipling King Bench.
Announcing the seat for the king of the jungle, we present the Kipling King Bench
If you are looking for a bench that is completely at home with nature, which truly belongs in the great outdoors and which is totally individual and unique, then the Kipling King bench is for you.
Each one of these beautifully natural pieces of furniture is made from sections of a genuinely reclaimed teak root, which have been expertly cut and shaped by skilled craftspeople local to the overseas forests where the teak trees grow. Because every tree root is different, so every Kipling King Bench is different, so you can enjoy your very own individual piece of outdoor furniture.
Beauty and comfort
Formed from sections of the tree root, the backrest and bench seat look stunning and is a stunning focal point for any garden. Meanwhile the arms and legs of the bench are made from the thick limbs of the tree root, so they twist and curve naturally and feel wonderful to touch.
Enjoy the qualities of reclaimed teak
Solid, sturdy and chunky, the Kipling King Bench offers all the benefits of teak, which is naturally high in oils and has a dense grain, making it weather resistant and split resistant. So this durable bench will stay looking beautiful for years to come with little or no maintenance. However, to prolong its life further, why not consider using one of Rattan and Teak’s teak care products?
How big is it?
As this Kipling King Bench is made from a genuine teak tree root, there are no exact lines or mass-manufactured edges. Therefore the dimensions may vary slightly from one bench to the next. However, as a guide the bench will seat 2 to 4 people and its dimensions are:
Length: 160 to 170cm; Depth: 80 to 110cm; Height: 160 to 190cm. Weight: 275kg to 350kg
Delivery: Please note, this is an unusually heavy item and requires three to four people to move it safely. Therefore we are unable to offer an Assembly and Installation Service and delivery will be to your driveway or door only.
The Kipling King Bench has the following features:
- Hand-cut from genuine reclaimed teak root.
- Each bench is truly unique, making use of the natural shape of the teak tree root.
- The timber will age naturally from a rich, red-brown colour to a beautiful silver-grey.
- Because of the teak’s high natural oil content and dense grain, the timber is naturally resistant to water, rotting and insect infestation.
- Durable and sturdy, with solid, chunky legs and armrests.
