The advantages of galvanised steel

Every section of roof on the Colorado Gazebo has been fully galvanised, which involves introducing a zinc coating throughout the body of the steel to protect the metal from corrosion and rust. The wood from which the Colorado Gazebo is made is 100% cedar wood – and for those of you who care about the source of your timber products, the cedar comes from a fully sustainable source too. Cedar is a quick-growing tree, which means that forests can be replenished sooner, while reducing the need to source timber from slower-growing types of forests. This is just one of the reasons why cedar is often referred to as a ‘green’ timber.

Cedar wood also has the benefit of containing natural oils which help to protect the timber from moisture – whether that be rain or summer humidity – and so it will be slower to rot and more resistant to insects.

Cedar has the advantage of combining strength with a relatively light weight and a resistance to shrinking and warping, which makes assembly easier as well as increasing the gazebo’s longevity. Plus it doesn’t require chemical pressure treatment either, so the manufacturing process is kinder to the environment while the timber is less prone to the cracking and splintering which that process can cause.

Cedar wood has a particularly good thermal co-efficiency, which means that even on the hottest of days, the wood remains cool to the touch thus your gazebo will be more comfortable to sit under.

Erecting your Gazebo

The Cedar Wooden Gazebo comes with all the fittings and hardware you need for assembly as well as a set of assembly instructions.

Although the gazebo can be erected on hard or soft surfaces (such as decking), ideally your surface does need to be level. So try to even out the surface before building.

Dimensions

This Colorado Gazebo measures 3.6m (360cm) by 3.2m (320cm) and is an impressive 3.23m (323cm) at full height.
