In our last Coronavirus (Covid-19) statement on 18th March, we promised that we would be continuing to track this fast changing situation and making any changes necessary to comply with the latest Government advice.
Our key priority at Rattan And Teak remains the same: to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our customers, suppliers and staff, while doing everything we can to continue with as much of our business as usual. However, in the light of the Prime Minister’s announcements last night, and the new restrictions being placed on the movement of people, we are now taking a number of further measures and additional safety precautions.
The Rattan And Teak online shop will remain open and we will continue to take orders, liaising directly with individual customers over expected delivery timescales.
Our delivery service will continue to operate but from Wednesday 25th March, this will be on a ‘one driver per van’ basis or will be undertaken via third party courier and pallet delivery services. Any items that require assembly and can be assembled by a single team member, will be done so either in advance, and then delivered complete, or will be assembled on site while remaining at a safe distance from the customer(s).
Until Government advice changes, any Assembly and Installation jobs that require 2 team members will be put on hold as we are unable to provide this service. Customers who have already placed orders which included a 2 man assembly and installation will be offered the following options:
- Delivery and assembly and installation by the Rattan And Teak team at a later date, with that date to be kept in review and agreed with the customer over the coming weeks.
- Delivery of the goods for self-assembly only, with a refund of any fees paid for Rattan And Teak assembly services.
- Order cancellation and a full refund.
All of our customers who have orders due for two-man delivery and assembly, will be contacted directly so that they can choose which option would be preferable to them. While our office staff process these calls, please be patient if it takes us slightly longer to respond to other enquiries. However, if you leave us a message, or email us with your enquiry, we will get back to you.
We understand that these changes will bring some inconvenience and disappointment to our customers, but we hope you will understand that keeping everyone safe has to be our priority.
All of the safety procedures outlined in our Coronavirus (Covid-19) statement of 18th March will continue to be adhered to and our delivery team will continue to work to strict hygiene guidelines when loading and unloading, and carrying out deliveries.
